1. When you were a child did you ever blab a family secret and get in trouble for it later?
yes. i remember that when i was about 5 or 6, my uncle who was in his 20's at the time, had a friend whose unmarried teenage sister had a baby. on the way to see her and the new baby, my grandmother pronounced judgment on her, saying she was a whore. (remember this was about 1969 or 1970). we had a good visit as far as i can remember, and as we were getting to leave, the 16 yr old came out with the baby. her mom told her that she needed to take the baby back in the house as it could get sick being so little and being outside. i asked her if i could as her a question, and she smiled and said "yes sure".
i then proceeded to ask her if she was a whore?
her eyes filled up with tears, and she looked at her parents. my family was MORTIFIED. and my mother said "angelia, why did you say that" and i said "grandmother said she was and i just wanted to know if she was right"
grandmother said "no, i didnt say that" and i said, "yes you did. you said that on the way over here"
the parents said that it was a shame that such a good visit had to be ruined this way, and that it was time for us to leave.
i remember my family talking about this all on the way home, and my grandmother was so mad at me!! my mother did stand up for me by telling her that if she didn't want the other family to know what she really felt about the girl, she shouldn't have said it in front of me, because she knew that small children parroted everything they heard.
2. Have you said anything in the last 24 hours that you regret? yes. i got mad at my son, and yelled and said some bad words.
3. Have you ever blabbermouthed something to a significant other that in hindsight you really should have kept to yourself? given the hell that living with my last ex-husband was, at that time, i shouldn't have run my mouth like i did, but now.....i wouldnt take any of it back, because he's a ASS!!!
4. Have you ever written anything on your blog that you wish you could take back? no not yet, but if i felt like that i probably just delete it.
5. Are you the blabber or the blabbee? Tell us your most embarrassing blabbermouth moment. when i was younger right on up until i was about 27 or so, i was the blabber. but after having to apologize a few too many times, i learned to keep my mouth shut. now i'm just the blabbee.
6. Who is the biggest blabbermouth tattletale in your household? when my husbands sons aren't here, it would be my 11 yr old son, but when they are, it would be his 8 yr old son
7. You are the Blog Paparazzi! Which blogger's real photograph are you most interested in getting?
probably Winivere's . i have an idea that she is probably ALOT prettier and smaller than she thinks.
8. If you could hire the loudest and most skilled blabbermouth in the universe to do your talking for you and advertise it well, what message would you like to spread to humanity? Don't hold back.
that we better be getting prepared the gov't isn't being totally honest with us.
