how beautiful our area is now with all the snow. we are having our third snow for the season now. last week we had 10 inches-ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS-although we ended up house bound for 4 days. jonah and i had alot of fun sledding down our driveway-i ended up wiping out several times when the disk spun around! my hat came off, i fell backwards-i think i ended up still going down on the sled. i had so much fun-i had forgotten how much fun sledding was-hadn't done it since i was a kid at my grandmothers and papaws house.
it was pretty well melted except for a few spots here and there and the right side of our driveway-AND we have learned that we cannot leave my car on top by the house....when we heard the forecast called for snow again, we have parked it down on the lower part of the driveway, close to the mailbox. but i don't think it will be taken out anytime soon as the road is still snowy.
school has been called off for tomorrow, which is no surprise to us. jonahs teacher told me that if it doesn't get to 21 degrees, the snow melt that the highway dept puts out doesn't melt the ice. my husband is driving the isuzu. im so glad that he had the foresight to get something like that. i was living in sevierville when i bought my car, so i didn't really need something with 4 wheel drive. if i had been in a place like this, i would've been looking for one.
fortunately, we have the supplies that we need. milk, bread, toilet paper. can't do without any of those!
