1 c tomato puree
1/3 c light corn syrup
1/4 c white vinegar
2 t dried minced onion-(dehydrated)
2 t granulated sugar
1 t salt
1 t lemon juice
1/8 t garlic powder
Whisk together all ingredients in a small saucepan & place it over
medium/low heat. When mixture begins to bubble reduce heat to low & simmer
uncovered for 30 minutes. Cover & cool, then refrigerate until cold.
makes 1 cup.
to make seafood cocktail sauce
stir in 2 t of prepared horseradish
when the sauce has cooled. cover & chill until needed.
